About Me

On 15/06/24 our daughter, Freya was stillborn at 38 weeks. Ever since Freya died, I have been writing to her every day to off load my feelings and use it as a way to stay connected to her. It's something just for us, I don't let anyone read them.
This blog isn't going to be what I write to her as such, this is somewhere for me to share my experience and our baby girls story and how I am managing life after a full term stillbirth.
One thing we as a family have noticed, is that it isn't talked about enough. I believe that our babies should be talked about and their story's have a right to be told.
Freya may not be here with us, but she is and always will be our daughter and I want to share her story.
By starting this blog, I'm putting her story out there and sharing our experience as her parents on how we are navigating life after losing our girl.
This was something I never thought would happen to us and a journey nobody should be on, but whether I like it or not, I am now part of this huge group of women who have lost their precious baby.
I've never been much of a writer though, so I'm not sure how this is going to go. However, if sharing our story and experiences helps just one person then I'm willing to give it a go, and who knows, it might start helping me along the way.
